THE MINISTER OF SPORTS WITNESSES A COOPERATION PROTOCOL BETWEEN THE MINISTRY AND TOTAL TO SPONSOR THE YOUTH FOOTBALL LEAGUE

Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports, witnessed the signing ceremony of a cooperation protocol between the Ministry and Total Energy to sponsor the28April2 Youth Football League, which is implemented by the Central Administration of Youth Centers and Youth Organizations, in the presence of General Director of Total Energy Marketing Egypt Thomas Stroch, and a number of ministry leaders.

In his speech, Dr. Ashraf Sobhy said: "The Youth Football League project is one of the development projects for Egypt's youth centers, and one of its objectives is to work on developing, selecting and talented in football, and occupying young people's spare time through sports, in addition to economic support through prizes that The Ministry offers it to the youth centers participating in the league according to the number of points they get.

The Minister extended his thanks and appreciation to the organizing committee of the league and those concerned with the central administration of youth centers and youth bodies, and the implementation of the league in cooperation with the directorates of youth and sports in various governorates, referring to the educational aspect that the ministry takes into account in the league competitions and taking the necessary measures, and applying the regulations towards any departure from the text.

The minister revealed the participation of 17,100 players representing 570 youth centers teams in the current edition of the Youth Centers Football League, noting that there are 108 players who moved to sports clubs through the league competitions, which confirms the success in the league’s goals, pointing to cooperation with Total in sponsoring The league stems from the keenness to cooperate with major institutions to sponsor various youth and sports events and projects.

Dr. Ashraf Sobhi explained that all the foundations of development are available to work on upgrading, raising the efficiency and developing youth centers in various governorates, and in the recent period 1051 youth centers are being established and developed within the presidential initiative "A Dignified Life", in addition to the project to develop football stadiums and investment projects in youth centers with the participation of The private sector, pointing to the ministry's tendency to transform youth centers into community service centers.

For his part, Total Energetics Marketing Director Egypt Thomas Stroch spoke about Total’s sponsorship of the 2019 African Nations Championship, and its efforts to sponsor major sports tournaments, pointing to the role of the Youth Centers League in discovering talents and realizing the legitimate dream of young people and graduating talented people like Mohamed Salah, praising the efforts of the Ministry of Youth And sports in assembling these young people from different governorates.

The protocol was signed on the part of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Major General Ismail El Far, Executive Director of the Ministry, and on the part of Total, General Director of Total Energy for Marketing Egypt Thomas Schraus.
