• The Faculty of Physical Education at Mansoura University was established in (1995 AD), then a decision was issued by Prof. Dr. / Minister of Higher Education No. (877) on 4/7/1996 regarding the issuance of the internal regulations of the college, and in light of the college's endeavor to keep pace with developments in society and cover The needs of the community, the college has updated its curricula, introduced new disciplines to the curricula, and opened the door for girls to study. The internal regulations were developed and the internal regulations of the college (boys-girls) were approved by Ministerial Resolution No. (449) dated 3/29/2004. In the interest of the college on the quality of the educational process and upgrading the level of its graduates to international quality specifications, it started its first steps in that path through the approval of the College Council in its session No. (83) on 23/5/2005 to establish a quality assurance and accreditation unit in the college and to allocate a distinguished headquarters for it within the main administrative building for college.

• To ensure the continuity of the existence of a system to manage the quality assurance process in the college, the college formed a board of directors and an executive board for the quality assurance and accreditation unit in the college starting from June 2006. The formation is periodically renewed in accordance with what is stipulated in the internal regulations of the quality assurance and accreditation center at the university.

• The Quality Assurance and Accreditation Unit began its first steps by obtaining the project "Establishing an Internal System for Quality Assurance and Accreditation" QAAP in the college in 2004 AD, and completing the process of development with obtaining the project of continuous development and qualification for CIQAP accreditation in 2008 AD, and these efforts were crowned with the college obtaining the first accreditation by the Commission National Education Quality Assurance and Accreditation session No. (97) dated 7/27/2011 for the colleges of physical education, Mansoura University to be the first college accredited by the National Authority for Education Quality Assurance and Accreditation in accordance with international quality specifications in Egypt and the Arab world, and to complete the process of development and ensure quality by obtaining the college at Renewal of accreditation by the National Authority for Education Quality Assurance and Accreditation, in session No. (168) on 7/19/2017.

• Since the establishment of the college until now, it provides its educational, research and community services to the community of Dakahlia Governorate, where the college grants bachelor's degrees in each of the following disciplines: sports training, methods of teaching physical education, sports management, and it also grants master's and doctoral degrees in eight specializations: Methods of teaching physical education , Physical education curricula, sports training, sports management, sports recreation, sports psychology, sports movement sciences, sports health sciences.

• In order to achieve its goals in community service, the diplomas granted by the college vary in their programs to cover several different areas in the sciences of physical education, including (sports training, school sports, management of sports institutions, sports recreation in sports institutions, sports injuries and rehabilitation, sports for the disabled, sports marketing in the hours system approved).

• The college accepts high school graduates in its various departments (scientific - literary), as the college consists of seven scientific departments (three awarding departments are the Department of Curriculum and Teaching Methods of Physical Education, the Department of Sports Training, the Department of Sports Management, four assistant departments are the Department of Sports Recreation, the Department of Sports Psychology, Department of Sports Movement Sciences, Department of Sports Health Sciences).

• The college offers three programs in the first academic stage (bachelor's stage), and (diploma, master's, doctoral) programs in the second university stage (postgraduate stage). For everyone and physical rehabilitation.

• At the beginning of the establishment of the college, the college was located outside the university campus and away from the university stadiums. Then, ten years after its establishment, the college moved to the campus of the Olympic Village at Mansoura University in January 2006, which enabled it to pursue the educational activity very efficiently and benefit from all the sports facilities available in the village. • In light of what the college possesses of a distinguished academic and administrative apparatus as well as a distinguished elite of students, the college was able to reap great success in leading the achievement of excellence for the college in the seventh university youth week in 2005 AD, the first Arab university youth week in 2006 AD, the ninth university youth week in 2005 AD 2009 at Mansoura University at the level of sports performances in the opening ceremonies as well as at the level of student activities.

• In view of the increase in students' interest in studying at the Faculty of Physical Education, Mansoura University, the college sought to establish a building attached to the main building to provide educational services in a manner that is commensurate with the status of the college and its position among the corresponding colleges, through joint funding from Mansoura University and the management of the continuous development and rehabilitation projects program for accreditation at the Ministry of Education Higher.
