First, the criteria and controls of the research plan:

The Department of Sports Administration at the Faculty of Physical Education - Mansoura University is keen to make a research plan within the framework of standards and controls that include achieving the goals of the department and the college in terms of (academic and applied science). Specializations and fields of research in sports management in the Arab Republic of Egypt, so some controls and standards were taken into account, including:

1- Compatibility with the vision and mission of the college and university

2- Achieving cooperation and joint work between the university as an academic side and the various sports institutions in the community (as an applied side)

3- Achieving cooperation between the scientific department and other scientific departments, whether within the college or from other colleges in the same university or other universities

4- Work on the continuous development of the scientific content of the department in order to be compatible with the labor market and the requirements of the era and its variables

Second, the objectives of the research plan:

The research plan of the Department of Sports Management aims to prepare and qualify qualified scientific cadres in the various fields of sports management in order to meet the requirements and needs of the labor market to keep pace with scientific developments and recent changes and develop the ability to compete locally, regionally and globally, through the dissemination and development of the knowledge skills of professional cadres in the various fields of sports management. through :

1- Educational objectives:

Assisting in the scientific preparation of students and researchers in the fields of sports management

- Taking into account excellence in scientific courses that reflect the latest research and applied developments in the field of sports management

Providing academic guidance to postgraduate students and researchers

2- Academic goals:

- Guiding and advising researchers from among the faculty members and others to present research that provides solutions and applied models for the many problems facing sports management.

Preparing qualified cadres of researchers and postgraduate students so that they have scientific research skills and competence and use those skills

- Encouraging researchers to present distinguished scientific productions and to participate in local and international scientific conferences

3- Objectives of community service:

- Taking into account the continuous cooperation between the department (university) and the various sports institutions

- Studying various sports issues in order to provide applied solutions to the problems of sports management in its various fields in the governorate or the Arab Republic of Egypt

Providing scientific and academic preparation programs that are commensurate with the labor market and meet the requirements of the surrounding community in areas related to sports management

Third, the time period of the research plan:

The Department of Sports Management will take into account the achievement of the objectives of the research plan during the next five years (2013/2014 - 2017/2018).

Taking into account the priority in academic preparation, guidance and scientific guidance for teaching assistants and assistant teachers in the department, according to the requirements and needs of the department.

Fourth, some potential risks:

Most researchers focus on research topics they are aware of and neglect the new research trends, due to the researchers' fear of breaking into modern research fields because there are not enough reference studies in the Egyptian or Arab society despite the possibility of the presence of the reference structure for these areas in Western societies. Therefore, the department will form research teams to study trends New research that does not have a clear knowledge structure

Fifth, potential benefits:

Keeping up with the times scientifically through distinguished scientific production and providing sports libraries with everything that is modern and new in the various fields of sports management.

Rehabilitation and preparation of many cadres in the various fields of sports management, which contributes to the development and efficiency of work in sports institutions and bodies with the aim of raising the level of sports in the sectors of championship and sports for all.

Sixth: Funding the research plan:

The research plan will be funded by the university’s scientific research development fund, in addition to the department’s endeavor to advance research projects in the various fields of sports management and fund them from various funding agencies for funding research and research projects such as Si tempus
