The Faculty of Tourism and Hotels launches the "Kemet Tourism Awareness" initiative with its third stop at the Faculty of Sports Sciences
As part of Mansoura University's leading role in community outreach, and in its commitment to promoting cultural and tourism awareness among students across all disciplines,
On Tuesday, November 25, 2025, the third edition of the "Kemet Tourism Awareness Initiative" was held. Organized by the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels, the event was generously hosted by the Faculty of Sports Sciences.
The event was held
under the auspices of
Professor Dr. Sherif Khater, President of Mansoura University,
and Professor Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Azim, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development.
This event was organized through a collaborative effort reflecting the spirit of cooperation between the university's faculties, represented by:
Professor Dr. Mohamed Ahmed Abdel-Latif, Dean of the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels,
and Professor Dr. Ahmed Abdel-Azim, Dean of the Faculty of Sports Sciences.
The event was organized by the Community Service and Environmental Development sector of both faculties, under the leadership of:
Professor Dr. Mohamed Abdel Fattah Zahry, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels for Community Service and Environmental Development,
and Professor Dr. Khaled Ziada, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Sports Sciences for Community Service and Environmental Development.
During the event, Dr. Arwa Ahmed El-Barashi, a lecturer in the Department of Tourism Studies, delivered a valuable lecture addressing the concepts of tourism awareness, the importance of strengthening Egyptian identity, and how to integrate the tourism concept with various sports fields, highlighting the cultural assets that Egypt possesses.
This initiative (Kemet) is part of a series of awareness tours across the faculties of Mansoura University, aiming to create a generation aware of their country's tourism and historical value, and capable of representing Egypt honorably in all forums.
